As the parasolled hoi polloi stroll the beautiful grounds, a malevolent threat circles the lush grounds. All is not what it seems in the beautiful manicured gardens, where unbeknown to the gentlefolk within, the tranquillity is about to be disturbed by a pair of bloodthirsty beasts. But who is who in this outdoor theatre, and are the garden’s inhabitants entirely innocent? Have they too feasted on the weak, and does retribution await?
Garden of Carnage has been a two-year project, started as a simple aerial of the Versaille topiary, but morphed time and again to avoid the pedestrian or saccharine. I've always enjoyed finding the story within the story and hope that you find fun in the hidden narrative. Every part is made up of a number of brushes designed individually for the project which was illustrated in a variety of media from pen and ink on paper, to vector format in Illustrator.
The pattern repeats at 31cm here, but on different scales across products within the Jardin Du Carnage collection.
We are working on plugging in our own roll calculator, but in the meantime we'd recommend using this one at Omni: https://www.omnicalculator.com/construction/wallpaper to calculate the least number of rolls required to avoid wastage.
